By Summer 2018, People Like Us therefore launched the first edition of a veteran beer project. We include a smaller group of veterans in a beer project to give them insights into the processes of the development of a beer from recipe to final product. The veterans are becoming ambassadors of their cause and are part of the identity development of the beer and the message.

It’s important that it’s a beer of action. Not a charity beer. The beer is a tool to spread the message of detabooization and focus of the potential in veterans on the labour market, every single day.

Our hope is to runningly be able to hire some of the veterans ourselves within People Like Us, or to inspire other companies to hire more veterans themselves.

One of the veterans Jon, has already been employed as our Production and Logistics Manager.

The project was being followed by a video photographer, producing a short documentary to be launched later in 2019
